Michael Minyard is the Regional Manager of Community Lending at United Purpose Mortgage (UPM). In this role, Michael focuses on community lending efforts for UPM and its affiliated mortgage companies across Ohio. Michael was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and raised in Ohio’s Cleveland Suburb of Warrensville Hts. He has more than thirty years of experience in the mortgage and real estate industries.

Before joining UPM, Michael held roles at Quicken Loans, now known as Rocket Mortgage, as a Top Tier Sales Director and Underwriter and at Nations Lending as a Branch Owner.

At United Purpose Mortgage, Michael is responsible for building relationships within majority-minority communities, where he promotes UPM programs and helps grow our educational offerings. He works closely with local community leaders and develops workshops dedicated to closing the wealth gap and increasing homeownership. As a former owner of his own credit repair company, Michael is exceptionally equipped to educate consumers on helping them prepare for the mortgage process and increase their credit scores to qualify for a home loan.

Outside work, Michael enjoys spending time with his daughter and family. He works with local groups such as the Ronald McDonald House and Habitat for Humanity.
